NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police have launched an investigation after a body was found under a house in Algiers on Friday.
The discovery was made just before 3 p.m. in the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue, where officers found the body of an unidentified male. Detectives discovered multiple spent bullet casings near the home and the incident has been classified as a homicide.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine and release a cause of death and identity after an autopsy is complete and next of kin have been notified.
