Father accused of helping son after burglary

LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Detectives search for 19-year-old Beau Rodrigue in connection to a burglary in Kraemer. While he's considered the primary suspect, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office said his father and his father's girlfriend acted as accessories after the fact.

Investigators said two rifles, seven handguns, a BB gun and a suppressor were stolen from a home the afternoon of Saturday, May 28. Deputies said they believe Beau Rodrigue took the items and his father, Elijah, allegedly drove him away from the home.

Detectives arrested Elijah Rodrigue, 38, following a traffic stop on June 23. Investigators arrested his girlfriend, 35-year-old Nicole Short, later that evening. Both were booked with accessory after the fact to simple burglary.

Beau Rodrigue is wanted for simple burglary. Crime stoppers Bayou Region is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Call 1-800-743-7433 or by text "GIVEATIP" plus your message to 274637.
