NOPD investigating three Sunday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating three Sunday armed robberies, according to initial reports.

The first incident occurred just after midnight (early Sunday) near the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Dorgenois Street.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, told police that three suspects, described as black males, called out to him. He then ran.

As he was running, two additional suspects pointed guns at him.

One of the suspects went into the victim's pockets and took $200 from the victim's wallet.

All suspects then fled the scene.

The second incident occurred just after 5 a.m. in the 2100 block North Johnson Street.

The victim, a 35-year-old woman, told police she got out of her vehicle and was about to enter her home when two suspects, described as black males, one armed, approached and demanded her property.

The victim complied, giving them her keys. The subjects fled in the victim's gray 2004 Toyota Highlander.

The vehicle has an Illinois license plate with the number 6924479.

The third incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m. in the 3100 block Elysian Fields Avenue.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, told police she walking to her vehicle when approached by two suspects, described as black males armed with a gun.

The suspects demanded her cell phone and wallet.

The victim complied and the subjects fled.
