THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) - Two men were arrested for stealing guns from Raceland home last week, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's department.
At around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies and detectives responded to a call concerning a residential burglary on St. Ann Street in Raceland.
Investigators were told a pistol and rifle had been stolen from the home.
Through surveillance cameras on neighboring homes, detectives identified Shane Thibodaux, 23, and Brandon Naquin, 19, both of the Bayou Blue area, as suspects.
On Wednesday, June 22, detectives questioned and arrested Naquin. He was taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center and booked with simple burglary of a home.
He was released Saturday after posting $10,000 bond.
Just before 10 p.m. on Thursday, deputies patrolling the Bayou Blue area spotted Shane Thibodaux near Silver Street, where he was arrested.
He was found in possession of what police believe was methamphetamine packed in plastic bags, marijuana, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.
Thibodaux was transported to the detention center and booked with simple burglary of a home. He was also booked with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond is set at $75,600.
