NOPD searching for suspects, stolen car

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are asking for the public’s help in finding a car stolen during an armed robbery over the weekend.

The incident occurred Sunday morning around 5 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Johnson Street.

The victim told police that she returned home and parked her car in the driveway.

When she put her house key in the front door lock, two suspects approached her from behind and demanded her keys.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at her and the victim complied. Both suspects got into the car and fled eastbound on North Johnson Street.

The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 14-17 years old. The suspect holding the gun was wearing a gray hoodie.

The missing vehicle is silver 2004 Toyota Highlander with Illinois license plate number 6924479.
