Police: Man impersonating X-ray technician arrested for burglary

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Police arrested a man who they say burglarized multiple medical facilities while claiming to be a radiology technician.

According to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Ricardo Clines would enter medical facilities in Louisiana and identify himself as a radiology technician wanting to transfer to that facility before stealing something from the office.

Tips from the public enabled Sheriff's Office detectives to identify Clines as the suspect in a burglary at the Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

"During their investigation, detectives learned that Clines had been arrested before for the same offense in Hammond and that he was a traveling criminal targeting medical facilities in multiple area," a release from the WPSO read.

Officers with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Clines in Houma and brought him to the Washington Parish Jail where he was booked on one count of Burglary of a Business. His bond is set at $25,000.

"This is one more example of the partnership between our office and the public," said Sheriff Randy Seal. :Once the pictures were posted on media outlets, calls began to come in identifying the suspect. The help of concerned citizens, coupled with widespread coverage by both the mainstream and social media, nailed this thief and enabled us to get a warrant for his arrest. I appreciate the assistance of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office for making the arrest. We now have one more thief in jail where all thieves belong."
