NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Short-term rental advocates are meeting today to discuss the future of operations in New Orleans.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Curtis House on Magazine Street.
The results of a local short-term rental owners survey will be the central topic of discussion.
While short-term rentals are illegal in the city, there is no current way to enforce the law, so many homeowners have their properties posted on websites like airbnb.com.
In May the New Orleans City Council voted to gather more public input in its two-year attempt to regulate short term rentals.
Then, earlier this month, the city council delayed a vote on proposed rules governing short-term rentals in the city.
