NOPD investigates recent carjackings

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating two recent carjackings.

According to initial police reports, the first incident occurred just before 6 a.m. in the 10100 block Curran Boulevard.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was approached by two suspects, described as black males armed with semi-automatic weapons, who demanded his car keys.

The suspects made the victim lie on the ground and they fled in his black Acura.

The second incident occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block North Rocheblave Avenue.

The victim, a 45-year-old woman was approached by a suspect, described as a black male juvenile, who attempted to take her car.

The suspect fled after the victim locked herself inside the car.
