NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans crime figure already serving a life sentence on a state murder charge now stands convicted in federal court in a vast murder and drug conspiracy that dates back to the mid-1990s.

Three co-defendants - Walter Porter, Andre Hankton and Kevin Jackson - also were convicted on numerous federal charges. Each was linked by the jury to at least one violent death in the complex case.
