NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Rain chances will continue through Wednesday as a boundary sags south over the area. We will see a mix of sun and clouds along with areas of spotty to strong storms. We will begin to see a drier trend as we get to Thursday.
Wednesday, the front continues south and stalls along the Gulf Coast. We will still see storms around especially during peak heating hours. By Thursday, rain coverage goes way down to just stray storms with high pressure moving back in across the region. The high pressure and less rain coverage and cloud cover will mean hot temperatures in the middle to upper 90's again. Expect the trend of rising temperatures to last through the Fourth of July weekend making for very hot conditions!
The tropics are quiet with no development expected in the next five days.
