NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - His first year in New Orleans was a wash. CJ Spiller was brought in to be an explosive player out of the Saints backfield. He ended up making just modest contributions. He finished with 11 rushing yards, 34 catches and two touchdowns.
Spiller's game-winner against Dallas in week four proved to be the highlight of his season. However, the Saints insist, Spiller battled injuries in 2015 and with a clean bill of health, he will become the player they envisioned him to be when they signed him to a $16 million contract.
If he does, then this offense add another dynamic weapon to their arsenal. If he doesn't, his second year may be his final year in New Orleans.
