NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating two armed robberies, according to initial reports.
The first incident occurred at 3:18 a.m. in the 1800 block Burgundy Street.
The victim, a 48-year-old man, was delivering food for Quarter Masters. He was approached by two suspects, described as black men.
One of the suspects, armed with a black gun, demanded his property.
The victim complied and the suspects fled north on Pauger with the victim's wallet, $300 cash and two cell phones.
The cell phones were later recovered on Pauger Street.
The investigation continues and investigators are seeking surveillance camera footage from the area at the time of the robbery.
The next incident took place at 8:23 p.m. in the 3000 block Republic Street.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, told police he gave a ride to two black males.
One of the men put a gun to the victim's head and demanded cash and drugs.
When the suspects were getting out of the car, the victim struggled with the gunman and one shot was fired.
When the suspects tried to take the car, the victim fled the scene.
