NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A dispute with a concrete company delays construction of Armstrong International Airport's new terminal.
According to our partners at Nola.com|The Times-Picayune, the project's construction manager says precious days are being lost because of an ongoing dispute with Cordeiro Concrete of Kenner. Cordeiro Concrete representatives say they no longer have the capacity to handle some of the work.
The aviation board voted June 29 to allow construction managers to remove Cordeiro Concrete from the project. At the same time, the board wants the managers to continue negotiating with the company.
Construction managers hope to have the new terminal ready for operation by October of 2018.
