High pressure returns and with it, the rain chances went down and temperatures went up. Low 90's from earlier in the week are once again upper 90's with most locations making it to 95 or above this Fourth of July weekend. The heat index, or feels-like temperature, will be in the triple digits with very little chance for rain over the next couple of days. Make sure to drink plenty of water and reapply the sun block as you enjoy all of the Independence Day weekend festivities. It remains warm even during the evening hours with temperatures in the 80's.
Sunday will be mostly dry with just a slightly better chance at a shower and the same for Monday for the actual holiday. Any showers should be brief down pours and help to cool things off.
The tropics remain quiet with no development expected in the next five days.
