(WVUE) - Today for the 4th of July festivities, the high pressure controlling our weather shifted a bit to the east placing us close enough to the edge so that we could get in on a few spotty storms.
We will see some spotty coverage in the 30 percent range, as the rain and clouds are helping to moderate temperatures a bit.
We are still seeing highs in the mid-90s, but the brief showers are keeping temperatures in check. Any rain coverage diminishes as the night wears on.
Tonight will be nice and dry for the fireworks although very warm and muggy.
Expect more of the same as the week wears on.
