Mississippi man arrested for crash, DWI

THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) - A Mississippi man was arrested in Thibodaux for drunk driving with a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

Just after 10 p.m. Saturday night, a gray Chevrolet driven by Casey Ordoyne, 42, of Waynesboro, Miss., crashed into the rear end of a 2016 Red Honda CRV with three people inside.

The CRV, which was stopped at the intersection of Canal Boulevard and LA 308, sustained minor damage to the rear bumper.

Two of the occupants in the Honda were transported to a nearby hospital and checked for injuries.

After making contact with Ordoyne, police believed that he was intoxicated.

Ordoyne took a standardized field sobriety and failed. He was subsequently placed under arrest.

Ordoyne's had a blood alcohol level was .267 percent,

Ordoyne was released from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center after posting a $2,100 bond.
