Family, friends pay final respects to Raising Cane's manager

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Family and friends said their last goodbyes Tuesday to a Raising Cane's manager who was stabbed during a restaurant robbery last week.

She was only 21, but it was apparent that Taylor Friloux touched many lives.

"You we're a gift, a special person to be around," said friend Ryan Henderson. "She was outgoing, I mean a great girl. She was raised well, her family was just the type of people you want to be around."

Even strangers attended her visitation at Garden of Memories in Metairie.

"We didn't know Taylor or her family. We have three grand daughters graduated from Chapelle and two daughters, and the whole community is so saddened. This is such a senseless, tragic loss. Her mom and dad - I just feel so much sorrow and grief in my heart for them," said Mary Johnson of Metairie.

Four people have been arrested in connection with Friloux's death, and investigators have questioned but not arrested a fifth person.

Kenner Police say they're investigating her death as a possible hate crime.

The Raising Cane's where Friloux worked has been closed since her killing. Owners said they wanted her co-workers to be able to attend her funeral Tuesday.
