NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Police arrest a man wanted for two separate shootings in Terrebonne Parish that left two dead and two injured. The incidents occurred early Wednesday morning. The deceased victims have been identified as John Darjean and Troy Deroche. Both were found shot multiple times.
Police say that in addition to the two people who were shot and injured in the incidents, two other people were able to escape the scene, unharmed.
According to police, investigators determined that 18-year-old Michael Damonte Diggs of Houma was the man responsible for the shootings.
Police say that investigators learned, Tuesday, that Diggs was arrested by Lake Charles Police on Sunday. Diggs will be charged with two counts of second-degree murder and four counts of attempted second-degree murder.
