NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for help from the public in locating and identifying four individuals wanted in connection with a July 3 armed carjacking in the Seventh Ward.
The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Rocheblave Street.
At about 11:40 p.m., four people were seen walking in the area via ProjectNOLA surveillance camera footage. At about 11:47 p.m., a male and female returned to a home in the block in a black 2012 Honda Civic. While the victims were talking in the car, surveillance video shows the four individuals returning to the location. Two of the subjects then approached the car and ordered the victims out of the vehicle at gunpoint, demanding keys and the female's purse. The subjects then got in the vehicle and fled the scene. The female victim fell to the ground with her cellphone, which she used to call police.
When located, the suspects will each be booked with armed robbery and carjacking.

Louisiana law states that Individuals convicted of carjacking shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than two years and for not more than 20 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
