The summer heat will continue to roll on into Thursday. Little, if any rain is expected. Overnight lows will barely get below 80 degrees if at all. Highs will be in the middle 90's through Friday. The heat index will again have the potential to near 110 degrees.
Some subtle changes are possible over the weekend and early next week. The intense heat ridge will break down ever so slightly to allow for a few more afternoon and evening storms. Temperatures may drop a few degrees as a result by Sunday into Tuesday.
That heat ridge looks to flex its muscle again by the middle of next week with more of the same.
The Atlantic tropics remain quiet with no development expected in the next five days.
