Former Brother Martin guard Jordan Cornish transfers to Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Brother Martin alum Jordan Cornish is transferring to Tulane. The move was announced by Green Wave Men's Head Basketball Coach Mike Dunleavy, Sr. Cornish joins the Green Wave after spending two years at UNLV. He will be required to sit out the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Cornish, a New Orleans-native, returns home after playing in 65 games through the last two years for the Rebels. As a freshman, the 6-foot-6, 215-lb guard averaged 5.5 ppg, putting up a season-best 19 points and eight rebounds early on against St. Katherine.

A 2014 graduate of Brother Martin High School, Cornish averaged 23.5 ppg, 10.3 rpg and 4.0 apg as a senior. He ranked as the No. 32 shooting guard in the

class of 2014 by ESPN, and finished his high school career with 1,794 career points.
