(WVUE) - Matt Juengel equaled a career high with five RBI to lead the New Orleans Zephyrs to a 9-3 win over the Round Rock Express on Wednesday night.
Juengel tripled off the wall in left-center field two drive in two runs in the first inning, added an RBI single in the third and had a two-run double in the fourth to collect his second career five-RBI game.
The Zephyrs battered Round Rock starter Jimmy Reyes (0-1) for nine runs on 14 hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Robert Andino's home run leading off the third inning was the first of seven consecutive Zephyrs to reach base to open the frame. Juengel's single stretched the New Orleans lead to 4-1, and Tomas Telis and Isaac Galloway followed with run-scoring singles.
New Orleans took two out of three games in the series and now heads back on the road to begin a four-game set in Nashville on Thursday.
