Traffic stop in Assumption Parish leads to narcotics arrest

ASSUMPTION PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Deputies in Assumption Parish say what started as a traffic stop Tuesday ended with an arrest for drug offenses.

Investigators say a deputy stopped Gabrielle Daigle, 20, of Belle Rose for a license plate infraction. When Daigle left her vehicle, the deputy noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office says Daigle admitted to possessing marijuana, and a search of her vehicle revealed what deputies believe is MDMA and aderall.

Daigle was arrested for Possession of Marijuana; Possession of MDMA; Possession of Adderall; Improper Display of License Plate. Her bond was set at $5,891.00.
