NOPD investigating a pair of early-morning robberies in the French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating a pair of early-morning robberies in the French Quarter.

The first incident occurred just after 5 a.m. in the 600 block Barracks Street.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was approached by a suspect, described as a white male, who hit her twice and fled with her property.

The second incident occurred at 5:53 a.m. in the 700 block Dumaine Street.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, was approached by a suspect, described as a black male armed with a knife.

The suspect put the knife to the victim’s chest and demanded his property. The victim complied and the perpetrator fled.
