NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Orleans Parish Coroner Jeffrey Rouse has identified two New Orleans homicide victims killed this week.
Kevin Brown, 48, suffered fatal gunshot wounds at the intersection of South Saratoga Street and Washington Avenue.
In that incident, NOPD Sixth District officers responded to a call about a shooting near the intersection.
When they arrived, officers discovered Brown lying in the street and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Rouse also identified Kevin Foots, Sr., 55, as the victim of a shooting that took place in the 2600 block of Jasmine.
At about 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, NOPD Third District officers responded to a shooting call in that block.
When they arrived, officers found Foot suffering from gunshot wounds to the leg and chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
