NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Police were investigating separate shootings that happened with minutes of each other Friday.
The first shooting was reported just after 7 p.m. in the 4600 block of Francis drive, where police said a man was walking in the area when a white, four-door vehicle pulled up. Three males inside the car opened fire. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his lower body and was taken to the hospital.
The second shooting was reported just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Leonidas and Birch, where another man was found shot. Officers said the male victim got into an argument with another man, who retrieved a gun and shot the victim in the chest. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
