ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

St Tammany Parish sheriff’s detectives warn buyers to beware when purchasing televisions from individuals and online buy-and-sell websites. They could be stolen.

On July 2, two people entered the gated rear yard of a Lacombe-area RV store and broke into several travel trailers.

More than 15 televisions and other items were taken from inside the travel trailers. The stolen televisions were Furrion and Sansui brands and range from 32 to 58 inches.

Deputies believe the perpetrators may be trying to sell those televisions online through sites like Craigslist or Facebook.

Anyone who has information about this crime, or believes they may have seen one of the television advertised for sale, is asked to call Detective David Miceli at 985-726-7845.
