HOUMA, LA (WVUE) -

A 16-year-old juvenile turned himself in to Houma police Monday afternoon in connection with a homicide.

Roderick Davis, Jr. was shot and killed in Scott Lane Park.

Police say Davis entered the park with three other males. While there, an altercation began between Davis and the other subjects.

Police say one of the suspects pulled a gun, pointed it at Davis and shot him several times.

During the investigation, police conducted a neighborhood search and found surveillance footage of two suspects, described as black males, running from the scene.

Police later arrested another 16-year-old male juvenile from Stovall Street in connection with Davis' homicide.

Both suspects are charged with second degree murder and are currently in the Terrebonne Parish Juvenile Detention Center waiting to be booked.

Houma detectives are expecting to make another arrest and the information will be provided as it’s obtained.
