3 killed in vehicle crash in Fluker

(WVUE) - Louisiana State Police say two vehicles crashed in Fluker on Monday shortly after 5:45 p.m.

Troopers say Kaleb Collette, 28, of Kentwood, was driving his Chevrolet pickup on US-51 when he failed to stop for a tractor trailer which was slowing on the road and driven by David James, 46, of Amite.

Investigators say James slowed his truck because of a vehicle stuck in the driveway of a home on US-51.

Collette, along with his two passengers, Kenneth Parnell, 27, and Lee Ross, 27, both of Kentwood, died on the scene. Troopers say none of the deceased was wearing a seat belt.

Blood samples will be analyzed as part of the investigation.
