Two gunmen order 20 people to the floor, rob Lakeview Harbor restaurant

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Two gunmen burst into a Lakeview restaurant and ordered 20 patrons to the floor in a brazen armed robbery late Tuesday night.

According to initial police reports, two suspects burst into the Lakeview Harbor restaurant in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at 10:53 p.m. They ordered the 20 people in the restaurant to the floor.

One person fled the restaurant prompting one of the suspects to fire a shot.

The suspects are described as two black men, dressed in all black, wearing black ski masks.

The NOPD is also investigating three other armed robberies.

The next incident occurred at 12:19 p.m. in the 7400 block of Read Boulevard.

The victim, a 31-year-old woman, was approached by suspect, described as a black man.

The suspect pulled a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse.

The subject fled on foot with the victim’s belongings.

An armed robbery also occurred at 9:14 p.m. in the 1800 block of Allen Street.

The victims, a 30-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, were sitting on the porch when they were approached by three suspects, described as two black men and a black woman.

One suspect was armed with a silver handgun while the second suspect was armed with a black assault rifle. The third suspect was unarmed, according to police reports.

The suspects demanded money. The victims told them they did not have any money.

The suspects then fled the scene in a white and gold Suburban.

At 9:41 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Claiborne Avenue the Family Dollar store was robbed.

The suspect, described as a black man, entered the store and pointed a gun at the 27-year-old cashier and demanded money.

The cashier complied and the suspect fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Tahoe.
