Plan for a mix of sun and clouds the rest of the week with daily chances for showers and storms. Conditions will continue to be favorable for waterspouts and gusty winds as thunderstorms bubble up in the late morning and afternoon hours. Highs will remain in the low 90's with rain cooling helping us out. Those that do not see rain could easily sneak into the mid 90's.
Storm coverage may be a bit less over the weekend as temperatures will reach the mid 90's on a fairly widespread basis.
By next week, a heat wave will be developing over the midsection of the country. We will be on the edge of the heat wave so temperatures could be as hot as the upper 90's at times. A few strong storms could pop up from time to time with better chances by the middle of next week.
The Atlantic tropics remain quiet with no development expected in the next five days.
