There will continue to be a good chance for showers and storms into Saturday. Conditions will continue to be favorable for heavy downpours as thunderstorms bubble up in the late morning and afternoon hours. Highs will remain in the low 90s with rain cooling helping us out. Those who do not see rain could easily sneak into the mid 90s.
Storm coverage may be a bit less by Sunday, and temperatures will reach the mid 90s leading into next week. We will be on the edge of a heat wave developing over the country's midsection, so temperatures could be as hot as the upper 90s at times and feel even worse. A few strong storms could pop up each day as well especially by Wednesday and Thursday.
The Atlantic tropics remain quiet with no development expected in the next five days.
