NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An Uptown restaurant in a usually quiet neighborhood was robbed Thursday night.
According to initial police reports, the robbery occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 700 block of State Street.
Police say two masked suspects, one armed, entered the Noodle & Pie restaurant through the rear.
The suspects told the employees, a 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, to give up the money in the register.
The employees complied and the suspects fled with money from the register and a money bag.
The restaurant asked for help finding the suspects on its Facebook page.
"Noodle & Pie was held up at gunpoint by some backdoor thieves tonight. Anyone along State St heading toward the river that has cameras around that area please let us know so we might help police in this matter."
The investigation is ongoing.
