NOPD graduates 27 from officer training program


The New Orleans Police Department today graduated 27 officers from program officers leadership skills at all levels of the department.

Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) is an intensive, three-week program developed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to make “every officer a leader.”

This is the eighth LPO class completed since NOPD began providing the training in 2012.

To date, the Department has trained over 200 officers. Another 14 officers are LPO-certified instructors and have been approved by the IACP to teach the LPO program.
