NOPD investigating two New Orleans East armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating two armed robberies in New Orleans East.

The first incident occurred at 1:51 a.m. in the 7100 block Crowder Boulevard.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, told police she heard a loud noise at her door. She was confronted by a suspect, described as a black man.

He put a gun to her head and asked, "where's the money." He then began to search the victim's apartment.

The victim started screaming for help, which alerted her neighbors. The suspect fled the scene.

The second incident occurred at 9:36 p.m. in the 5100 block Bundy Road.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, told police two suspects, described as black men, pushed their way into his apartment.

One suspect pointed an assault rifle at him and forced him to the floor. The other suspect found the victim's wallet containing $100.

Both suspects then fled the scene.
