NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Some Verizon wireless customers may notice their internet speed slowing in August 2016.

According to Droid Life, Verizon plans to start throttling service for unlimited data plan customers who use what's considered to be an "extraordinary" amount data.

Droid Life did not specify what would put a customer in the "extraordinary" category. The website reports letters are going out to customers already flagged in "extraordinary" category.
