NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana State Police have arrested two individuals following an investigation into the trafficking of juveniles for sexual purposes. Tara Guidry, 35, and Jenarius Brown, 31, both of Lafayette, were taken into custody.
According to police, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified detectives of a missing 17-year-old in November 2015.
During an investigation, detectives learned that the juvenile was being trafficked for sexual purposes and was rescued on November 4, 2015. Investigators were also able to identify Guidry and Brown as the two suspects and obtained arrest warrants in February 2016.
Detectives learned that the pair were operating a commercial sex enterprise and were exploiting the juvenile for commercial sex purposes.
