Shoplifting suspect steals thousands of dollars worth of cell phones

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are looking for a wanted man in connection with shoplifting at a service station.

A police investigation identified Jonathan Kritzman, 34, as the person responsible for shoplifting several cell phones from a display at the Shell gas station. It happened on July 14, 2016 in the 3900 block of Downman Road.

According to police, an unknown man approached the counter and placed a number of cell phones from the display into his pants pockets. The phones are valued at approximately $3,000.  

The investigation, along with some tips from CRIMESTOPPERS, led detectives to Kritzman's identity as the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jonathan Kritzman is asked to contact the Seventh District Detective Unit at 504-658-6070.
