NOPD seeks three suspects in June New Orleans East shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are asking for the public’s health finding three suspects in a June shooting in New Orleans East.

Police are searching for:

  • Kevin Sturgis – 17
  • Kendrick Cooper – 19
  • George Toca – 19

The incident occurred on June 20 around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Majestic Oaks Drive and Chef Menteur Highway.

Police responded to a call of a shooting involving two male victims who were shot inside a vehicle on Majestic Oaks Drive.

The victims were sitting inside a vehicle while stopped and a stop sign at the intersection. Moments later, the three suspects pulled up in a blue Nissan Altima and opened fire on the victims. They then fled the scene.

The victims drove themselves to a nearby hospital.

Sturgis, Cooper and Toca were all positively identified as the suspects in the shooting.

Arrest warrants were then obtained for all three suspects.
