NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - One woman was attacked by a machete-wielding man in one of two separate Sunday stabbing incidents under investigation by New Orleans police.
The first incident occurred just after 6 p.m. in the 2800 block of New Orleans Street.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, and the perpetrator, Trederica Lawrence, 22, got into shouting match.
Lawrence pulled a weapon and stabbed the victim. She was arrested by police.
The next incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Lynhuber Street.
The victim, a 26-year-old woman, was attacked by a machete-wielding man.
She suffered several cuts and was taken to University Hospital.
