The weekend will be a typical late July/early August weather pattern.
We will have a good chance of late morning and afternoon showers and storms. The evening and overnight hours should be mostly dry. There will be a mix of clouds and sun. Rain chances are around 50 percent over the weekend.
Next week may see fewer storms. Highs will remain in the lower 90s.
There are no major changes in the weather pattern over the next week. As we head into August, we look to the tropics for any dramatic increase in rain chances.
There are two tropical waves we are monitoring over the far eastern Atlantic. There is some potential for development, but they are seven to 10 days away from the Gulf of Mexico. There is no tropical threat to the area as we head into the weekend.
