WEST SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVUE) - Day two of camp here at the Greenbrier, and a change of pace for the Saints with practice number two as they moved everything down to the lower field, perhaps to give the upper field a break after Thursday night's showers.
A new face joined the team in wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. The former long-time New York Giant is joining a Saints unit that's young but talented.
There's a question as to just how much Nicks has left in the tank. The Saints are hoping a lot, and they're hoping that his experience can be a plus going forward
We've worked him out a few times. he's an experienced receiver. He's in good shape, and he was kind of on a short list if we had a number, and we did," Saints coach Sean Payton said. "So, I think his experience, he's got strong hands in traffic, and like I said we were real familiar with him just because on two different occasions we had him in for workouts, plus he wouldn't stop texting me."
The team also brought aboard offensive lineman John Fullington who has spent time with the Packers, 49ers and last season with the Cardinals.
