New Orleans code enforcement employee carjacked of city-owned vehicle

An employee in the City of New Orleans Code Enforcement department was carjacked Friday morning of their city-owned vehicle, according to the New Orleans Police Department. 

According to the police report, the victim was standing near the city vehicle and photographing property around 11:30 a.m. when he was approached by an unknown black male armed with a handgun. The male told the victim to move out of the way. The victim complied, and the subject entered the vehicle and fled on Louisa Street.

Police say the subject is described as a black male approximately 45-50 years of age, about 6’0” in height wearing a black and white baseball cap, blue shirt and blue jeans.
