WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVUE) - In year two with the Saints the spotlight is indeed on Willie Snead, but it might also be because of his new hairdo.
"I mean I'm just having some fun. You know it's just a new look. I really don't think much of it. I wanted the tips to be blonde, but the whole head ended up being blonde. It's just going to have to wear on people. We'll see how it goes. If it doesn't work, I'll change it up," said Snead.
To come out of nowhere to rack up nearly a 1,000 yards receiving was no doubt a major surprise in 2015. Snead gave us his secrets to success after practice Saturday.
"I think just studying film, trying to get better each and every week. When you watch a lot of film, and learn how players play. When you learn from Drew, and learn from guys like Marques Colston who've been in the system, you pick up things. You start to grow as a person. I was always a playmaker growing up, those things came natural. As the season went on I started to get a little more comfortable, got me going," said Snead.
Now Snead is no secret, and he's a lock to make the roster. In 2016 he'll be the focus of many defensive coordinators in the league.
"A lot of people are starting to notice me more than last year. At the same time I just have to focus on myself. I'm just trying to get better each and every day I'm out here. Just get ready to have a great season, and help my team win. Just hope to get better from last year," said Snead.
