We will continue to see plenty of August heat over the next few days. There will be storms from time to time. They will be difficult to time. Most will be in the afternoon and evening but a few overnight or morning storms can't be ruled out. Rain chances will generally be around 50% through the weekend.
A turn to much stormier weather is possible next week as an area low pressure forms near Florida. This type of pattern will have to be monitored for tropical development. Regardless it appears the potential for heavy rain will increase by next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Earl is expected to make landfall in Belize in the next 24 hours. The storm is staying well to our south. No additional tropical development is expected for the rest of the week.
