NOPD releases sketch of man accused of rape at Algiers school

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD has released a computer-generated sketch of a man who raped a 24-year-old woman July 7 at an Algiers school.

The victim reported that she was sexually assaulted by an unknown male inside the dance studio of L.B. Landry-O.P. Walker school in the 1200 block of L.B.Landry Avenue just before 5 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, about 6' tall and approximately 200 pounds. He has a muscular build, dark complexion and fade haircut. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a dark blue T-shirt, and black jeans. He was armed with a black-handled pocketknife.
