NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The FBI is investigating a bank robbery in New Orleans East.
The robbery occurred Thursday at about 12:45 p.m. at Fidelity Bank in the 5500 block of Crowder Boulevard.
The agency said a male suspect wearing women's attire walked in and handed a note to a teller announcing a robbery. After he obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, he got into a gray, four-door Honda where a driver was waiting. The car fled north on Crowder.
The suspect is described as being 5'5" to 5'8" tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black hoodie, a long black wig, heavy makeup and purple nail polish.
