Sleeping man stabbed with 'commando' knife in CBD

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Someone attacked a man with a "commando" knife in the New Orleans Central Business District on Thursday afternoon.

The victim was sleeping in the 600 block of Loyola Ave. around 2:45 p.m. when he was awakened and stabbed several times by the perpetrator.

The knife-wielding many fled on foot in an unknown direction, according to police.

The condition of the 46-year-old victim is unknown.
