Former Saints WR Lance Moore retires from NFL

ATLANTA, GA (WVUE) -

Former Saints wide receiver Lance Moore announced his retirement from the NFL Monday morning, according to his latest team, the Atlanta Falcons.

More started his career with the Cleveland Browns in 2005. He played his college ball in Toledo.

He spent eight seasons with the Saints, where he had 346 receptions for 4,281 yards and 38 touchdowns.

Moore had 389 career receptions for 4,816 yards and 44 career touchdowns.

The Falcons had just signed Moore on Friday.

He most recently played with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions.
