NOPD searching for suspect in Waffle House armed robbery

ALGIERS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are looking for a man they think robbed an Algiers Waffle House early Tuesday.

The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of General De Gaulle.

According to initial police reports, the man entered the restaurant, approached the cashier, pulled a gun, and demanded money from the register.

The cashier complied and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30s with a medium complexion and a thin build. He is approximately five-feet-ten-inches tall and has a low haircut.

He was wearing a black ball cap with a colorful design, a black shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.
